The annual
Warehouse Saleis two days of incredible deals like no other event all year. This year, it’s on Saturday, February 23 from 8am to 6pm and Sunday, February 24 from 11am to 5pm at the
Roanoke Outletstore.

People come from all over and start lining up at the door around 6:30, an hour and a half before it opens. “The really good deals really go quick,” says Jason Carter, Roanoke Outlet Store Manager. “I mean, we’ve got about four acres of furniture, so we’re not going to run out of merchandise. But the merchandise does go quick, especially the really good deals.”
For more, here's an interview with Jason on Daytime Blue Ridge (above).Asked what’s the best advice he can give people coming to the sale, Jason Carter says, “Wear comfortable shoes and have an idea of what you’re looking for. Four acres is a lot of furniture. That’s a lot of walking around on hard warehouse floors. And if you have something in mind you want, you don’t want to take your time going through everything, because by the time you get to what you really want, the deal you’re looking for might not be there anymore.” He also suggests dressing appropriate for the weather, because if it’s cold out, once they have the doors open loading furniture onto people’s trucks, even though the Outlet is heated, it can get a little chilly in there with the doors open. But you can fuel up with free hot dogs and beverages.

The furniture is set up by category, so all the sofas are together, all the dining rooms, all the mattresses, etc. And during these two days, it will all be an extra 35% off the already low Outlet prices that are up to 80% off retail. If you can’t make it to the sale on Saturday, they do bring in truckloads of new merchandise overnight so there is a good selection when the doors reopen Sunday. Most people take their merchandise with them that day, so if you have one, you’re going to want to bring your truck and your straps, something to tie it down with. The Grand people at the Outlet will help you load your furniture and tie it down. If you can’t take it with you that day, you’ll have until March 10
thto come pick it up. “This is our 42nd Annual Warehouse Sale,” says Jason Carter, “and we will likely have the place fuller than it’s ever been. It was full when we still had six or seven trucks to unload. So, we’ve definitely packed the inventory tight this year.”

If you’ve never been to the annual Warehouse Sale, it’s really something to behold. It’s once a year bargains, free hot dogs and refreshments and just a lot of fun to see the place packed with people and furniture. We invite you to check it out for yourself.
